Vegas, Baby! Day 2

21 Jul

Our first day waking up at the greatest hotel on earth we woke up and went straight to the pool.  A couple hours and (all you can drink) bloody mary’s later we called it quits, hauled booty inside and got ready for a day of wandering The Strip.  And YES I took a bloody mary to go.  Obvs.

We walked and shopped and walked and shopped.  Finally we took a little stop for a refresher.  Amy’s drink came with  a terrifying gooey ‘hibiscus’ at the bottom.  Somehow it ended up on me.  Whatevs, I don’t know.
I do know that I am available to make this face at your next event.  For free.

Then it happened.  We were introduced to the greatest thing in the history of cold, surgary, beverages.  The cereal bowl shake.

It tastes like the milk that’s left when you’re done muchin’ your Cap’n Crunch.  Its amazing.  I want it to move in with me and never commit to marrying me.  Its that good.

We headed to dinner at La Cave in The Wynn to celebrate another fabulous OKC girl’s b-day.  A few other friends were in town so we met up with them.  The food here was fantastic.  If you enjoy great wine and tapas, check this place out.  The Wynn is also one of my favorite hotels to walk around in.  Everything is so bright, fun and floral.
Group pics in the wine cabinet are a must!

After dinner things got a bit Haze-y.  We hit up Haze (another club!) in Aria.  Yet again we spent very little time waiting to get in thanks to our dear friend we met out shopping that day.  Can we give some snaps out to Vegas club promoters?

These models were everywhere.  In windows, on poles, on platforms.  You couldn’t escape them.  We posed for lots of group pictures and got our dance on to Enrique, Pitbull and Phil Collins (can I get an amen?).  Then a special surprise performer made an appearance.
My favorite Haitian, Wyclef Jean!  We stayed for a several songs before we decided to head home.  It was 3am, did you know that’s 5am in Dallas?  Did you know that’s about 7 hours past my bedtime?

Side Note:  The air in Aria is infused with vanilla and the air in The Cosmopolitan is insfused with a floral sent, my guess is Jasmine.

If you could infuse the air in your home with a scent, what would it be?
